Track and Field Registration

2021 Outdoor Track and Field registration:

Our 2021 Outdoor Season will look a bit different this year.  This is a result of two main factors: COVID restrictions and our track at Fowler being renovated and unavailable for the summer. The focus for this year’s program will be on base training and fundamental skill development. At this time, we do not know if there will be any meets taking place over the summer. Should meets be scheduled, fees and registration will be the responsibility of the athletes. We have limited spaces available as a result of COVID restrictions. Registration is now open for Senior athletes (U16) with programming beginning in April. We hope to open up registration for our Junior athletes shortly with the program beginning in early May.

1. Register & Submit Payment Online

St. Albert Mustangs uses to provide easy online registration. Registration Fees for Base Training (Sprints/Throws/Distance) for Senior Athletes is $325. This is a 9-week program running April 6 – June 5 focusing on the fundamentals of the sport. Limited event specific training will take place during this phase. Another block of training will be offered after this to focus on event specific training.

The Throws Program for Seniors Athletes is $400 and will run twice weekly from April 19 – June 24th.

The Junior Program (U14 – Born 2008 or after) will run from May 3 – July 15. There will be no practices on May 24 & July 1. A Mon/Wed or Tues/Thur option is available, however we cannot accommodate any other combinations of days due to COVID restrictions on groups sizes. Registration for the Junior program is available here:

If track meets become available the cost and registration for the event will be the responsibility of the athlete/ family.

Please note:

  • All athletes must have a valid Athletics Alberta membership to train, compete and be a member of our club. This is separate from the Mustangs’ registration fee, is paid directly to Athletics Alberta, can be purchased as a seasonal or annual membership and is required to complete the registration process online. The Annual membership is recommended as it allows access for the Indoor, Outdoor, and Cross- Country seasons. Purchasing the 3 separately results in a higher cost than the annual.
  • Due to limited space, Junior Development registrations will be opened at later date and is anticipated to begin in early May.

If you have never registered before, not to worry, we have you covered! Just leave the Athletics Alberta box blank on the online registration form and payment and membership allocation will happen automatically.

If you are not sure if your membership is valid, not a problem, a look-up feature is available on the registration form as well.

RETURN POLICY: No refunds will be offered for the Base Training session.

2. Prepare Your Deposits

Given the unique challenges of our programming this year, there will be no meet or volunteer deposits required.

3. Complete Your TeamSnap Profile

TeamSnap is the Mustang’s primary form of communication. Training and track meet events will all be found on TeamSnap.

Once your athlete’s registration package has been processed, you will receive an email invitation to join TeamSnap shortly after. Setting up your profile will be your final step of the registration process.
